Accessories for the Suzuki DL1050 V-Strom

The Suzuki DL1050 V-Strom is an adventure bike well suited to touring, from a weekend exploring country roads to a longer trip with a passenger. Choosing accessories starts with how you spend those miles. Wind protection matters on lengthy motorway stretches, luggage earns its place on overnight trips, and your riding position deserves attention when a short outing becomes a full day in the saddle.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki DL1050 V-Strom

• Luggage: carrying clothes and touring essentials on the bike avoids relying on a rucksack throughout a long journey. For two-up trips, think about the passenger as well as packing space: the luggage arrangement should leave them room to get on, get off and sit comfortably.
• Screens: a useful priority if reaching your favourite roads involves hours on the motorway. A screen helps redirect airflow away from your upper body. Consider where its top edge sits in relation to your sightline when you are in your normal riding position.
• Crash bars and protectors: these make sense for touring that includes gravel tracks or stops on uneven ground. They are intended to help limit damage in a low-speed drop, a practical consideration when manoeuvring an adventure bike away from smooth tarmac.
• Footpegs: on rides that mix roads and tracks, your feet need support both when seated for long stretches and when standing on the pegs. For the V-Strom, consider how your boots rest in each position rather than treating footpegs as a purely cosmetic change.
• Phone mounts: having navigation directions in view is useful when exploring unfamiliar roads on a touring holiday. Position the phone without obscuring the instruments or drawing your gaze too far down, and set your destination before you start riding rather than adjusting it on the move.
