Accessories for the Suzuki DL250 V-Strom

The Suzuki DL250 V-Strom brings an adventure-touring approach to everyday journeys as well as trips further afield. A weekday commute and a weekend away place different demands on the bike: luggage becomes more important once you leave the rucksack behind, while wind protection and comfortable contact points matter on longer stretches. A useful accessory setup should reflect the riding you actually do.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki DL250 V-Strom

• Screens: worth considering when your journeys involve open roads and longer links between stops. A screen helps divert airflow away from your upper body, but your seated height and normal riding position are important when deciding how much coverage suits your touring plans.
• Luggage: gives work essentials and weekend clothing a place on the bike rather than on your shoulders. For a V-Strom serving both purposes, think about the shape of your everyday items as well as the space needed for a few nights away.
• Crash bobbins and bars: provide additional protection around the areas they cover in certain low-speed drops or knocks. They are particularly relevant when manoeuvring with luggage or stopping somewhere less straightforward than your usual parking space during a trip.
• Footrests: your feet contribute to comfort just as your seating position does. When a short urban ride turns into several hours on winding roads, the way your boots rest on the pegs and support your seated posture deserves attention.
• Phone mounts: useful for following navigation on unfamiliar routes without keeping the phone tucked away in a pocket. Positioning it within view helps with directions, but set the route before leaving and stop somewhere safe to make changes.

Plan luggage capacity around what you genuinely carry. A setup sized for regular commuting and occasional nights away need not be dictated by the packing list for one unusually long holiday.
