Accessories for the Suzuki DL650 V-Strom ABS

The Suzuki DL650 V-Strom ABS suits riders whose week includes commuting as well as longer road rides and touring with luggage. As an adventure bike used for different kinds of journeys, it benefits from accessories chosen around how you spend your time in the saddle. Wind protection, carrying space and riding position each deserve attention when short everyday trips become full days on the road.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki DL650 V-Strom ABS

• Screens: Wind protection becomes more important when a touring route includes long motorway stretches. A screen helps reduce airflow against your upper body, while your height and seated position guide the choice. This is particularly relevant when you regularly cover distance rather than stay in town.
• Luggage: Useful for carrying work essentials without wearing a rucksack, and for packing clothing and other belongings on longer trips. If you tour with a pillion, space for two people's luggage becomes a practical priority rather than an occasional convenience.
• Crash bars and sliders: These aim to limit damage from a stationary drop or a low-speed fall. Touring often means manoeuvring with luggage and stopping in unfamiliar parking areas, so protection has a clear role even when your V-Strom spends its time on tarmac.
• Handlebars and footrests: These help tailor the hand and foot contact points to your riding position. For a V-Strom used in town and on longer country-road rides, how you sit over several hours matters more than a purely cosmetic change.
• Phone mounts: Provide a place for your phone when you use navigation through town or follow an unfamiliar touring route. On a weekend ride with several planned stops, keeping directions visible is more practical than leaving the device tucked away in a pocket.
