Accessories for the Suzuki DL800 V-Strom RE

The Suzuki DL800 V-Strom RE is an adventure bike suited to everyday journeys as well as longer trips on the road. That mix of riding shapes the accessories worth considering: luggage matters when you are away for several days, while protection and small changes to your riding position can make sense on trips with plenty of stops. Riding through wet weather brings different priorities again. Accessories for the 2024 and 2025 model years let you focus on the journeys you actually make.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki DL800 V-Strom RE

• Panniers: useful when a weekend ride turns into a longer road trip. Carrying your kit on the bike rather than on your back makes more sense over a full day in the saddle, especially if you are travelling with a passenger and need to organise what you bring.
• Crash protection: worth considering if your rides involve frequent stops, parking and manoeuvring with luggage aboard. Crash bars and protectors are intended to help protect parts of the bike during a low-speed mishap or a stationary drop, rather than change how it rides.
• Footpegs: affect where your feet rest, which can become more noticeable as the miles add up. On a bike used for both town journeys and long stretches of road, they are relevant if you want to think about your footing and the way you shift your position during a ride.
• Mudguards: help reduce spray from wet roads. They are particularly relevant if the V-Strom RE is your regular transport, not just a bike for dry weekends, or if your road trips continue when conditions change along the way.

SW-Motech and Puig are among the accessory brands available for this model. Start with the way you use your bike most: carrying luggage for trips, riding regularly in poor weather or spending long hours on the road each calls for a different emphasis.
