Accessories for the Suzuki DL800 V-Strom Tech

The Suzuki DL800 V-Strom Tech is an adventure bike suited to road trips, weekend exploring and everyday journeys. Those different uses call for different priorities: wind protection matters on longer motorway stretches, luggage earns its place when you stay overnight, and a comfortable riding position makes sense whether you are commuting or spending a full day on the road.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki DL800 V-Strom Tech

• Screens: useful for reducing wind exposure on motorway links between more interesting roads. For touring on the V-Strom Tech, consider coverage in relation to your height and seated riding position, particularly if long stretches at a steady pace feature in your plans.
• Protectors and crash bars: help limit damage to the areas they cover in a stationary drop or low-speed fall. They are a practical consideration for a bike used for both commuting and touring, with regular parking manoeuvres and stops in unfamiliar places.
• Luggage: gives clothing and overnight essentials a place on the bike rather than on your back. When travelling with a pillion, plan space for both riders' belongings and distribute the load rather than putting all the heavier items on one side.
• Footrests and handlebars: these contact points influence how you sit through a long day's riding. On road-focused trips, the relationship between your hands, feet and seat matters when keeping your arms relaxed through winding roads and longer connecting stretches.
• Phone mounts: keep navigation visible when exploring unfamiliar routes or finding an address in town. Position the phone so it does not obscure the instruments, and set your destination before moving off rather than adjusting the route as you ride.

For regular touring, start with wind protection and luggage. If most of your mileage is closer to home, protection and a comfortable riding position may deserve attention first.
