Accessories for the Suzuki DR-Z4S

The Suzuki DR-Z4S suits riders who want to combine road riding with exploring unsurfaced tracks. As a dual-purpose motorcycle, it calls for different priorities depending on how you split your riding between the two. A daily commute followed by weekend trail rides puts the focus on riding position and rearward visibility, while longer road stretches make wind protection worth considering alongside the parts you need off-road.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki DR-Z4S

• Foot pegs: secure footing matters when you stand up on uneven tracks. For a DR-Z4S used regularly off-road, the pegs deserve attention as a key contact point, particularly when your route involves frequent transitions between sitting down and riding out of the seat.
• Handlebars: hand position helps shape your stance both seated on the road and standing on the trails. Consider the bars together with the foot pegs when setting up your DR-Z4S, rather than treating upper and lower body position as separate concerns.
• Screens: these help divert airflow on road sections. If reaching your favourite tracks involves a substantial ride on tarmac, wind protection has a clearer role than it would on a DR-Z4S that spends most of its time on short off-road outings.
• Mirrors: rearward visibility remains important even when trail riding is the main attraction. Commuting and travelling between tracks both mean sharing the road with other vehicles, so mirrors have a practical place in a mixed-use setup rather than being an afterthought.
• Protectors: these help reduce damage from minor knocks to the areas they cover. On a DR-Z4S ridden over uneven ground, where a low-speed loss of balance is possible, protection is a sensible priority ahead of purely cosmetic changes.

Accessory brands available for the DR-Z4S include Puig and SW-Motech. Start with riding position and protection for predominantly off-road use, or give wind protection more weight when road mileage makes up most of your riding.
