Accessories for the Suzuki DR-Z4SM

The Suzuki DR-Z4SM is a supermoto suited to town riding and winding roads. Those uses put the emphasis on your riding position and the controls you work with throughout a ride. Handlebars, footpegs and levers are sensible places to focus your attention, while a screen becomes more relevant if your regular routes include longer stretches of faster, open road.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki DR-Z4SM

• Handlebars: help shape your hand position and reach to the controls. On a supermoto used for urban manoeuvres and twisting roads, the aim is a natural riding position that lets you steer comfortably without having to stretch your arms.
• Footpegs: provide support for your boots, making them worth considering if your DR-Z4SM spends its weekends on winding roads. Think about where your feet rest during a ride and how easily you can reach the gear lever and rear brake.
• Levers: replace the brake and clutch controls your hands use repeatedly in stop-start traffic. For a DR-Z4SM ridden through town every day, comfort when operating those controls is a practical reason to give this area attention rather than focusing only on appearance.
• Screens: help deflect airflow on longer journeys beyond town. They make particular sense if you link your favourite back roads with motorway stretches, where sustained exposure to the wind becomes more noticeable than it is on a short urban trip.
• Mirrors: keep following traffic in view as you move between junctions, roundabouts and multi-lane roads. For this supermoto's everyday urban use, a comfortable rearward view from your normal riding position matters more than choosing a shape purely for its looks.

If your riding position needs attention, identify the least comfortable contact point before changing several parts together. That gives your DR-Z4SM setup a clear purpose, whether you mainly commute or head out for bends at the weekend.
