Accessories for the Suzuki GS500E

The Suzuki GS500E is a naked bike suited to weekday commuting and weekend rides on winding roads. How you divide your time between town and open roads helps determine what to fit: wind protection earns its place on faster journeys, while protection and a comfortable riding position matter in daily urban use.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki GS500E

• Windscreens: A screen helps deflect some of the airflow away from your torso on this naked bike. It makes particular sense when your commute involves faster roads or your weekend outings mean longer stretches in the saddle.
• Protectors: Daily use often involves parking spaces, tight turns and low-speed manoeuvres. Protectors can help limit damage if your GS500E tips over at a standstill or low speed, making them a practical choice for town riding.
• Handlebars: Your reach to the controls affects the position of your arms and back. For a GS500E used both in traffic and on winding roads, a comfortable bar position helps avoid an awkward or stretched riding posture.
• Mirrors: On a commuter GS500E, the view behind deserves as much attention as appearance. Mirrors help you keep track of surrounding traffic as you approach junctions or prepare to change lanes on the way to work.
• Bolts and fasteners: Replacing worn-looking fixings can tidy up a daily-used GS500E or give its finish a more consistent look. With the exposed layout of a naked bike, these small details are easier to notice.

Choosing accessories for your GS500E's year

The Suzuki GS500E has changed over the years, so the 1996-2000 and 2001-2008 versions do not take all the same parts. Windscreens, protectors and bodywork accessories are examples of items that do not fit every year. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit your GS500E.
