Accessories for the Suzuki GSF1200 Bandit

The Suzuki GSF1200 Bandit lends itself to several kinds of road riding, from the daily commute to weekend outings and longer touring trips. The accessories worth fitting depend on which of those fills your diary. Controls and protection make sense for regular town use, while a screen and luggage become more useful as you spend longer on the open road.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki GSF1200 Bandit

• Screens: A useful addition when your Bandit rides involve motorway stretches or long links between favourite roads. Reducing wind pressure on your upper body can make sustained road riding more comfortable, particularly when a short outing turns into a full day away.
• Handlebars: Bar shape affects your reach and the position of your arms. For a Bandit used throughout the week as well as at weekends, a comfortable riding position matters both when manoeuvring through town and when settling into a longer journey.
• Levers: Frequent clutch and brake use puts the controls firmly in focus on a town commute. Lever shape and reach influence how your fingers meet the controls, making this a worthwhile area to consider for everyday Bandit riding.
• Protectors: Regular parking and low-speed manoeuvres are good reasons to consider protection for an everyday Bandit. Depending on their design and position, protectors can help limit damage to the areas they cover in a low-speed fall.
• Luggage: Cases make the Bandit more practical for nights away, carrying clothing and other essentials without relying on a rucksack. They also help organise belongings when touring with a pillion rather than riding alone.
