Accessories for the Suzuki GSF650 Bandit ABS

The Suzuki GSF650 Bandit ABS is a naked road bike suited to everyday commuting, winding-road rides and weekends away. For the 2005–2006 models, useful additions depend on how you divide your time between those journeys. Longer stretches of open road make wind protection and luggage more relevant, while regular town riding puts the emphasis on protection and comfortable controls.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki GSF650 Bandit ABS

• Screens: A screen makes particular sense if your Bandit regularly leaves town for motorway journeys or longer rides. It helps redirect airflow around the rider, addressing the wind exposure that comes with choosing a naked bike for open-road use.
• Protectors: Parking manoeuvres and low-speed spills are worth considering when your Bandit serves as everyday transport. Protective accessories can help limit damage to the areas they cover, making them a practical choice for commuting rather than something reserved for sporty riding.
• Mirrors: Moving between busy streets and faster roads calls for a clear view behind without an awkward riding position. Mirrors also influence the Bandit's front-end appearance, but rearward visibility deserves priority when the bike is used for the daily journey to work.
• Levers: Town traffic means frequent use of the controls, while weekend routes mean longer periods at the bars. Lever shape and how your fingers sit against it are worth considering when the same Bandit handles both stop-start commutes and winding country roads.
• Luggage cases: Cases give clothing and other belongings a place on the bike when a weekend ride becomes an overnight trip. They also let you carry everyday essentials without keeping everything in a rucksack, useful when commuting and leisure rides overlap.

For mainly open-road riding, start with wind protection and carrying space. If most of your mileage is in town, focus first on protection and the controls you use repeatedly.
