Accessories for the Suzuki GSX-8T

The Suzuki GSX-8T is a naked bike suited to weekday journeys and weekend outings on winding roads. Those two roles call for more than cosmetic changes: managing wind pressure, protecting exposed areas and making the controls comfortable to use are all worthwhile priorities. What earns its place on your bike depends on how much of your riding happens in traffic or on the open road.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki GSX-8T

• Screens: wind exposure becomes more noticeable when a short ride turns into a longer day out. A screen helps divert airflow on open-road stretches, making it a useful addition to a GSX-8T that regularly ventures beyond town.
• Crash protection: parking, tight turns and frequent stops are part of everyday urban riding. Crash bobbins and bars are intended to help limit damage to particular areas in a low-speed fall, giving this practical addition a clear purpose on a commuting GSX-8T.
• Levers: stop-start traffic means repeated use of the brake and clutch. Lever shape affects how your fingers sit against the controls, so this is about more than matching finishes when your GSX-8T spends much of the week negotiating busy streets.
• Footrests: a comfortable foothold matters when you shift your posture through a series of bends. The shape and contact surface deserve attention on a GSX-8T used for longer road rides as well as the daily trip to work.
• Number plate holders: a less visually prominent holder can give the tail a cleaner appearance. On a naked bike, where the outline is a large part of its appeal, this is a way to personalise your GSX-8T without adding bulk.
