Accessories for the Suzuki GSX-R1300 Hayabusa Special Edition

The Suzuki GSX-R1300 Hayabusa Special Edition is a road-focused sports bike that also lends itself to longer journeys. That makes wind protection and riding position useful starting points when choosing accessories. A bike used for full days away needs a different balance from one taken out mainly for short weekend rides, where protecting the bodywork and refining the rear-end appearance may take priority.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki GSX-R1300 Hayabusa Special Edition

• Screens: a way to alter airflow around the rider on sustained road journeys. For the Hayabusa, think about the position you actually hold for most of a ride: coverage while sitting more upright matters just as much as airflow when tucked down over the tank.
• Protectors and crash bungs: intended to help limit damage to the areas they shield or keep off the ground. On a faired sports bike, these are worth considering for parking mishaps and low-speed manoeuvres, not simply as accessories for track use.
• Levers: their shape and reach affect how your fingers meet the brake and clutch controls. They deserve attention if your Hayabusa rides combine winding roads with town traffic, where frequent use of the controls makes their relationship with your hands particularly noticeable.
• Footrests: your footing matters when shifting position through bends, but also when settling in for a longer journey. For this kind of road riding, consider foot support alongside knee bend and time in the saddle rather than focusing solely on a sportier stance.
• Number plate holders: an option for changing the visual finish around the tail and emphasising the bike's sporting character. This is primarily a styling choice for a weekend Hayabusa, rather than an accessory that addresses wind exposure or comfort on longer trips.

For regular long-distance rides, put the screen and rider contact points first. If shorter outings dominate, protection can take priority before you turn to cosmetic finishing touches.
