Accessories for the Suzuki GSX-R250

Setting up a Suzuki GSX-R250 for weekday journeys and weekend road rides starts with the way you sit and use the controls. Town riding involves frequent braking, clutch work and low-speed manoeuvres, while winding roads put more emphasis on your contact with the bike. Handlebars, levers and footpegs address those priorities; protection and a screen become useful considerations when your riding includes busy streets and longer stretches of open road.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki GSX-R250

• Handlebars: bar position influences your reach and the angle of your arms and wrists. For a GSX-R250 used both around town and on country roads, the aim is a riding position that feels manageable during tight turns without becoming awkward over longer distances.
• Levers: their shape and reach affect how you operate the brake and clutch. These controls get repeated use on an urban commute, making the relationship between your hands and the levers particularly relevant when traffic involves regular stops and starts.
• Footpegs: these support your feet and help define your leg position. On winding-road outings, a settled foothold matters alongside comfortable reach to the bars, so it makes sense to consider the lower and upper parts of your riding position together.
• Crash protection: crash bobbins and bars are intended to help limit damage to the areas they protect in certain impacts or falls. They are worth considering for everyday use involving parking spaces, narrow access routes and frequent low-speed manoeuvres.
• Screens: a screen helps manage airflow around the rider. When journeys extend beyond town, its height and shape matter in relation to how you sit on the GSX-R250, particularly on routes with sustained stretches of open-road riding.

A town-focused setup can put controls and protection first. For longer road rides, consider the screen and your riding position as parts of the same setup rather than separate changes.
