Accessories for the Suzuki GSX-S1000GX Touring

The Suzuki GSX-S1000GX Touring combines sporty road riding with a touring focus. Long motorway stretches, winding mountain roads and everyday journeys place different demands on the rider, so wind protection and contact with the controls both deserve attention. The most useful additions will depend on whether your riding centres on full days away, weekend back-road rides or commuting between longer trips.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki GSX-S1000GX Touring

• Screens: wind protection becomes a priority when a day's route includes lengthy motorway sections. A screen helps redirect airflow around the rider, while its height and shape matter when balancing shelter on faster roads with a clear view through the bends ahead.
• Protectors, crash bobbins and bars: these add protection around exposed areas in minor knocks or low-speed falls. For a bike used on road trips, that is relevant to parking manoeuvres at unfamiliar stops as well as the everyday riding you do between holidays.
• Levers: busy town traffic and twisting roads both mean frequent use of the controls. Lever shape and distance from the grip influence how your fingers meet the brake and clutch, making this a worthwhile area to consider when refining your riding position.
• Footrests: where and how your feet rest contributes to the posture you hold over a long day. On the GSX-S1000GX Touring, a useful balance is steady support during the miles between destinations and room to move as the road becomes more demanding.
• Phone mounts: a mounted phone can keep navigation in view when a touring route takes you onto unfamiliar roads. Position matters on a bike used for both travel and daily journeys: the instruments should remain visible, with nothing obstructing the movement of the handlebars.
