Accessories for the Suzuki SV1000

The Suzuki SV1000 is a sporty naked bike suited to winding roads as well as everyday journeys. Preparing it for both means thinking about your riding position, wind exposure and how the controls feel through repeated use. The right accessories can make the miles between your favourite bends more comfortable while keeping the focus on enjoyable road riding.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki SV1000

• Screens: worth considering when a weekend ride starts with a motorway run or a long stretch of open road. On a naked bike such as the SV1000, a screen helps redirect some of the airflow away from your upper body during those connecting miles.
• Handlebars: a way to tailor your riding position when the bike serves as both weekday transport and a weekend escape. Bar height and shape influence how far you lean forwards and how your arms sit, balancing comfort in traffic with control on twisting roads.
• Levers: the shape beneath your fingers matters when a route involves frequent braking and gear changes. A comfortable fit for your hands is also useful on the urban side of SV1000 ownership, where junctions and traffic lights mean repeated use of the controls.
• Protectors and crash bungs: everyday riding includes parking, pushing the bike around and slow manoeuvres, not just flowing bends. These accessories help limit damage to the areas they protect if your SV1000 suffers a minor fall.
• Tail tidies: give the rear of the bike a cleaner appearance that suits its sporty naked styling. For an SV1000 ridden on public roads, the number plate and signalling equipment still need to remain correctly positioned and clearly visible.

For a bike that handles the commute and Sunday rides, start with riding position and wind protection. Cosmetic changes can follow once the everyday setup works for you.
