Accessories for the SYM Joyride 200

The SYM Joyride 200 is a scooter suited to everyday riding, from commuting through town to making several stops in one trip. That pattern of use puts the focus on carrying your essentials, dealing with frequent braking and leaving the scooter parked between journeys. This page brings together accessories for Joyride 200 models from 2003 to 2008, so you can consider what will be useful on the roads you actually ride.

What riders usually fit to the SYM Joyride 200

A practical starting point is your daily routine: where the scooter spends the day, what you take with you and whether you keep riding when the weather turns colder.

• Brakes: town journeys can involve repeated stops at junctions and traffic lights. Brake components are relevant when worn parts need replacing, particularly if your Joyride 200 does most of its miles in stop-start traffic. Braking is among the accessory brands available for this scooter.
• Security locks: a lock adds a measure of security when you leave the Joyride 200 on the street while at work or running errands. It is particularly useful if your route involves several stops and you cannot always park within sight.
• Covers and leg covers: a cover helps shelter the parked scooter when it stays outside. A leg cover serves a different purpose: keeping your legs better protected from cold weather while you carry on with your usual rides around town.
• Luggage: work clothes, a bag or a few purchases are easier to manage when you have space to carry them on the scooter. It makes sense for a Joyride 200 used for errands as well as the regular journey to work.

Think about the parts of your journey that repeat every day. For this scooter, secure parking, manageable luggage and attention to braking may matter more than equipment intended for long-distance touring.
