Accessories for the SYM Mask 125 ie E5

The SYM Mask 125 ie E5 is a scooter suited to everyday journeys around town. Frequent stops, low-speed manoeuvres and the occasional stretch on a faster road all affect what is worth fitting. Rather than preparing it for long-distance touring, it makes sense to focus on the parts of a typical journey: keeping vulnerable areas protected, finding your way across town and making longer stretches more comfortable.

How you use your Mask matters here. A short ride along familiar streets places different demands on it from a commute that crosses the city and continues onto more open roads. The accessories listed for this model let you address those differences without losing sight of its practical, day-to-day role.

What riders usually fit to the SYM Mask 125 ie E5

• Protectors: Parking in tight spaces and manoeuvring among other vehicles can leave a scooter exposed to minor knocks and scuffs. Protectors are worth considering if your routine involves busy streets and frequent stops; they help look after the areas they are designed to cover.
• Phone mounts: A mounted phone is useful when your route changes with traffic or takes you through unfamiliar parts of town. It keeps navigation in view without holding the phone as you ride. Set your route before setting off, and pull over if you need to change it.
• Screens: City riding is often slow and stop-start, but a more exposed road can make the airflow much more noticeable. A screen can take some of that air off your upper body, particularly if your regular journey includes longer, steadier stretches.

If most of your riding is across town, protection and navigation may be your priorities. For a commute with more open-road miles, a screen is also worth considering.
