Accessories for the SYM Maxsym 400i

The SYM Maxsym 400i is a scooter suited to everyday journeys as well as rides beyond town. Those two settings call for different additions: frequent stops put security and weather protection in focus, while longer stretches make wind protection and room for luggage more relevant. Thinking about where you ride most often is a useful starting point when choosing accessories for your scooter.

What riders usually fit to the SYM Maxsym 400i

A commute with several stops is quite different from a day out on the road. The accessory types below address those situations without treating every journey as though it calls for the same setup:

• Security locks: worth considering if you leave your Maxsym 400i parked while you work, shop or make stops around town. A lock from a brand such as Artago is relevant to that stop-start routine, when the scooter may be out of sight.
• Covers and leg covers: useful when the scooter spends time outdoors or remains part of your routine through colder, wetter months. They address the practical side of daily riding and parking, rather than just occasional leisure trips.
• Screens: particularly relevant if your rides take you from urban streets onto faster roads. On a longer journey, having some protection from the airflow can matter more than it does on a short trip across town.
• Luggage: gives you a way to carry what you need for the day or for a ride away from your usual route. It makes most sense if the Maxsym 400i serves for more than your regular commute.
• Handlebar accessories: concern the part of the riding position you use constantly in town, through turns, manoeuvres and repeated stops. Consider this area in the context of how you ride rather than treating it as an addition for long journeys alone.

If city riding accounts for most of your time on the Maxsym 400i, security and protection from the weather are sensible places to start. For regular rides on the open road, a screen and luggage become more relevant to the way you use it.
