Accessories for the Triumph Tiger 1050

The Triumph Tiger 1050 brings an adventure-style riding position to a road-focused bike. It suits touring, winding weekend routes and everyday commuting, but each use puts different accessories first. Long motorway stretches make wind protection worthwhile, while a mix of town traffic and country roads brings comfortable controls and protection against low-speed mishaps further up the list. Start with the riding you actually do rather than fitting everything at once.

What riders usually fit to the Triumph Tiger 1050

• Screens: useful for riders who take their Tiger beyond short weekend outings. A screen helps manage airflow around your upper body in an upright riding position, particularly on motorway sections linking the more enjoyable parts of a touring route.
• Protectors, crash bobbins and crash bars: intended to reduce damage to the areas they cover in a fall. On a Tiger used for touring, that protection is particularly relevant when parking, turning at low speed or stopping somewhere unfamiliar.
• Levers: comfortable finger placement matters when working the clutch through commuter traffic or applying the brakes on a twisting road. For a Tiger doing both jobs, the way your hands reach and operate the controls deserves attention.
• Footrests: your feet need a secure, comfortable resting point on long days as well as support through bends. Consider how your boots sit and the position of your legs when setting up the Tiger for mixed touring and weekend use.
• Mudguards: help contain spray when wet roads interrupt a trip. They make practical sense for a Tiger ridden throughout the week or across several days, rather than reserved for dry Sunday runs.

When choosing a touring screen, height alone should not decide it. Think about your sightline from your normal riding position, especially if the bike also handles your daily commute.
