Accessories for the Triumph Tiger 1050 SE

The Triumph Tiger 1050 SE is a road-focused adventure bike suited to touring, weekends on winding roads and everyday journeys. Its upright riding position lends itself to longer days in the saddle, but the right accessories depend on where those miles take you. Motorway riding puts wind protection first, two-up trips call for luggage, and commuting brings frequent use of the controls and low-speed manoeuvres.

What riders usually fit to the Triumph Tiger 1050 SE

• Windscreens: help direct airflow away from your upper body on longer road and motorway journeys. With the Tiger’s upright riding position, consider where the screen’s top edge sits in relation to your line of sight. Extra coverage should still leave you with a clear view of the road ahead.
• Protectors, crash bobbins and crash bars: can help limit damage if the bike tips over at a standstill or at low speed. They make sense for a touring Tiger, where parking with luggage on board and manoeuvring at unfamiliar stops are regular parts of the journey.
• Luggage: gives you somewhere to carry clothing and other essentials for a weekend away without wearing a backpack. Two-up touring increases the need for carrying space, while weekday town riding makes it worth matching the luggage capacity to what you actually take with you.
• Levers: deserve attention when your riding combines repeated clutch use in traffic with braking on twisty roads. Lever shape affects how your fingers rest on the controls, making this a practical consideration for a Tiger that handles both commuting and full days out.

When setting up for a pillion trip, leave room for your passenger to get on and off with the luggage fitted. Try the controls with your riding gloves before heading out, too.
