Accessories for the Triumph Tiger 800 XC

The Triumph Tiger 800 XC is an adventure bike that lends itself to road touring and exploring unpaved tracks. That mix makes luggage, protection and rider comfort more useful starting points than cosmetic changes alone. Think about how you use yours: motorway miles, weekends away with a pillion and time spent standing on the pegs each put different demands on the accessories you fit.

What riders usually fit to the Triumph Tiger 800 XC

• Luggage: For trips lasting several days, luggage gives clothing and touring essentials a home without relying on a backpack. It is particularly useful when travelling two-up, keeping bags away from the seating space your pillion needs on longer road journeys.
• Protectors and crash bars: These help shield exposed areas from knocks and low-speed falls. They are worth considering for a Tiger used on tracks, where uneven ground can make slow manoeuvres more demanding, especially with touring luggage on board.
• Windscreens: Long motorway stretches between quieter roads make wind protection a practical priority. A screen helps divert airflow away from your upper body; for mixed road and trail use, consider coverage alongside the need to look ahead when riding seated or standing.
• Footpegs: Standing on the pegs is part of riding an adventure bike along tracks, so the contact between boot and peg matters. On the Tiger, this needs balancing with a comfortable foothold for the hours spent seated during road sections of a tour.
• Phone mounts: If your phone handles navigation, a mount keeps the route visible as you link smaller roads and turn-offs towards tracks. It also saves unpacking the phone at every route check, which is useful on exploratory rides with frequent changes of direction.
