Accessories for the Triumph Tiger 800 XRx

The Triumph Tiger 800 XRx is a road-focused adventure bike suited to weekend rides, longer tours and travelling with a pillion. Choosing accessories for it is largely about how you spend those miles: motorway stretches put wind protection high on the list, while nights away call for luggage and a riding position that remains comfortable over a full day.

What riders usually fit to the Triumph Tiger 800 XRx

• Screens: wind protection matters when a day's ride includes long motorway links before the more interesting roads begin. On a touring Tiger, consider your height and how much time you spend at cruising speed when deciding how much coverage you need.
• Luggage cases: carrying clothes and overnight essentials on the bike saves wearing a rucksack throughout a weekend away. For two-up trips, dedicated luggage also helps keep the pillion seat free rather than sharing it with bags.
• Crash protection and bars: a loaded touring bike needs care during parking manoeuvres and roadside stops. These accessories can help limit damage to exposed areas in a low-speed drop, making them a practical consideration for a Tiger used on longer trips.
• Footrests: steady foot support deserves attention when your route mixes motorways, winding roads and hours in the saddle. The support area and resulting leg position are worth considering if you use your XRx mainly for seated road riding.
• Phone mounts: useful for following navigation on unfamiliar roads without keeping the phone tucked away between stops. Position the mount so the instruments remain visible, and pull over before changing your destination or adjusting the route.

When setting up the Tiger for two-up touring, leave room for your pillion to get on and off as well as sit comfortably. Wind protection and riding comfort are sensible priorities before cosmetic changes if most of your journeys involve a full day on the road.
