Accessories for TRIUMPH TIGER EXPLORER XRT

Accessories for the Triumph Tiger Explorer XRT

The Triumph Tiger Explorer XRT is an adventure tourer suited to long road journeys, weekends away and trips with a pillion. Choosing accessories for this kind of riding starts with the practical demands of travelling: managing wind exposure, carrying what you need and staying comfortable through a full day on the road.

What riders usually fit to the Triumph Tiger Explorer XRT

• Windscreens: wind protection matters most when your route includes lengthy motorway stretches. Consider screen height and shape in relation to your own height and normal touring posture, rather than assuming a taller screen will always suit you.
• Luggage: cases help organise clothing and other essentials for a weekend away or a longer holiday. When travelling two-up, dedicated luggage space also means you do not have to rely on carrying bags across the pillion seat.
• Crash bars and protectors: these help shield exposed areas during a stationary drop or low-speed fall. They are worth considering for trips that involve manoeuvring with luggage, squeezing into parking spaces or stopping on uneven ground.
• Footrests: hours in the saddle make foot support more noticeable. The platform shape and surface affect how your boots sit, so this is a useful area to consider when preparing the Tiger for consecutive days of road riding.
• Levers: reach and grip shape influence how comfortably you operate the brake and clutch. Touring is not all open roads: town centres, queues and slow approaches to your overnight stop can mean frequent use of the controls.

Choosing parts for the 2016-2017 and 2018-2020 versions

The Tiger Explorer XRT has changed over the years, so the 2016-2017 and 2018-2020 versions do not always take the same accessories. Parts such as levers, windscreens and stands are not necessarily interchangeable across both versions. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit your particular Tiger.
