Accessories for the Voge DS800X Rally

The Voge DS800X Rally is an adventure bike suited to road journeys with some trail riding along the way. Preparing it for that mix means looking beyond luggage capacity. Wind protection matters on longer road stretches, while your footing and riding position become more important when you stand on the pegs. Start with the kind of riding that makes up most of your route.

What riders usually fit to the Voge DS800X Rally

• Screens: useful when reaching the trails involves plenty of road miles. A screen helps reduce wind exposure on those stretches. For mixed riding, weigh up that coverage alongside your view of the ground ahead, particularly when the route turns onto slower tracks.
• Luggage: gives clothing and touring essentials a place on the bike rather than on your back. For a DS800X Rally trip that includes unpaved sections, packing only what you need and distributing the load sensibly matter as much as having room for everything.
• Footpegs and handlebars: shape the riding position as you move between sitting on the road and standing on trails. Secure footing and a comfortable reach to the bars help you move with the bike without having to crouch awkwardly over the controls.
• Protectors and crash bars: worth prioritising when exploring beyond the tarmac. They help limit damage to the areas they cover during minor knocks or falls, including the sort of low-speed mishap that can happen while manoeuvring an adventure bike on uneven ground.
• Phone mounts: keep navigation directions visible on touring days and unfamiliar back roads. Position the phone without obscuring the instruments or restricting handlebar movement, and set up your route before riding rather than trying to make changes on the move.

For road-focused trips, tackle wind protection and packing first. If trails feature regularly, give more attention to your contact points, standing position and protection against knocks.
