Accessories for YAMAHA FZ6 S2

Yamaha FZ6 S2 accessories for commuting and weekend rides

The Yamaha FZ6 S2 is a road-going naked bike suited to weekday journeys and weekend runs on winding roads. Accessories make most sense when they reflect that mix: comfortable controls for stop-start traffic, some wind protection for faster stretches and protective parts for everyday use. Styling changes can then follow without becoming the main focus of the bike's setup.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha FZ6 S2

• Screens: worth considering when your commute involves dual carriageways or your weekend rides take you further afield. On a naked bike such as the FZ6 S2, a screen helps redirect some airflow away from your torso, with its shape and height affecting the coverage.
• Levers: regular clutch and front brake use makes these particularly relevant to an FZ6 S2 ridden through town. Lever shape and reach affect how your fingers meet the controls, so they deserve attention on a bike that handles both traffic queues and open-road riding.
• Handlebars: a useful area to consider when balancing short daily trips with longer days in the saddle. Bar width and sweep influence arm and wrist position, making them part of the riding posture rather than simply a visual change to your Yamaha.
• Protectors and crash protection: designed to help limit damage to particular areas in a fall, depending on the part. They are a practical consideration for a daily-use FZ6 S2, especially with the parking manoeuvres and low-speed handling that come with urban riding.
• Number plate holders: an option for tidying the appearance of the rear end. They suit the FZ6 S2's naked-bike styling when you want a more understated visual change rather than customisation centred on larger bodywork pieces.

For mostly urban mileage, focus first on controls and protection. If faster roads account for a sizeable part of your riding, a screen deserves priority over cosmetic changes.
