Accessories for the Yamaha FZS1000 Fazer

The Yamaha FZS1000 Fazer sits between sporty road riding and touring, making it a natural choice for commuting, weekend rides and longer journeys. Those different roles call for a considered approach to accessories: wind protection matters on motorway stretches, while the riding position and controls deserve attention when your route mixes traffic with winding roads.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha FZS1000 Fazer

• Screens: useful when your Fazer spends plenty of time on open roads, a screen helps redirect airflow away from your upper body. For touring, coverage is worth prioritising over a purely sporty look, particularly if motorway miles connect your favourite riding roads.
• Handlebars: bar shape influences your reach and upper-body position. A Fazer used for both weekday traffic and weekend trips benefits from a riding position that feels natural at low speeds without leaving your arms stretched out throughout a long day.
• Levers: frequent clutch and brake use makes these important contact points on a commuting Fazer. Lever shape and distance from the grip affect how comfortably you operate the controls, including when thicker gloves come into use for longer road rides.
• Footrests: foot position plays a part in both cornering posture and touring comfort. On a Fazer that handles both jobs, consider knee bend as well as support for your feet: a tightly tucked position may become tiring over longer distances.
• Crash protection: everyday use brings parking manoeuvres, tight spaces and frequent stops. Crash protectors can help limit damage if your Fazer tips over at a standstill, but they should not be treated as a guarantee against damage in every fall.

For a touring-focused setup, start with airflow and posture. If most of your miles are urban, give more attention to the controls and protection during low-speed manoeuvres.
