Accessories for the Yamaha Jog 50 R AC E2

The Yamaha Jog 50 R AC E2 is a scooter well suited to getting around town, where journeys often involve short hops, regular stops and tight parking spaces. That routine calls for different accessories from a bike used mainly for long-distance trips. Protecting the scooter during everyday manoeuvres, taking the edge off the wind and keeping directions visible can all make a noticeable difference to how you use it.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha Jog 50 R AC E2

• Protectors: frequent parking and moving the Jog through confined spaces can put exposed parts at risk during low-speed manoeuvres. Protection makes particular sense if you use the scooter for several trips a day rather than leaving it parked between longer rides.
• Screens: useful when your route includes open roads as well as sheltered streets, especially on cooler mornings. Reducing the wind reaching your upper body can make a short commute more comfortable without changing the way you use the scooter around town.
• Phone mounts: handy for following directions across unfamiliar neighbourhoods or taking a different route when your usual street is closed. On an urban scooter, being able to glance at navigation is often more useful than stopping to retrieve your phone at every turn.
• Security locks: relevant when the Jog is parked outside while you work, study or run errands. A lock you can take with you suits a day made up of several stops, including those where you only expect to be away briefly.
• Covers and blankets: worth considering if the scooter spends time parked or you continue riding through colder months. Depending on the item, they can help shelter the Jog when it is not in use or make regular journeys more comfortable in chilly weather.

For a scooter used across town every day, it helps to prioritise the part of your journey you notice most: the wind, the frequent stops or finding your way through changing routes.
