Accessories for the Yamaha Majesty 400

The Yamaha Majesty 400 is a scooter suited to city riding as well as journeys beyond town. That mix of uses shapes what is worth fitting: regular commuters may put weather protection and security first, while riders covering longer distances may value wind protection and extra luggage space. Where you park and whether you carry a passenger can matter just as much as the length of your ride.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha Majesty 400

• Protectors: help shield exposed parts of the scooter during the parking manoeuvres and tight turns that come with everyday city riding. They are worth considering if your Majesty 400 spends much of its time on busy streets.
• Security locks: make sense if you leave the scooter parked outside during the working day or stop at several places on one trip. Think about how you will carry and use a lock on those stops, not only how you secure the scooter overnight.
• Weather covers and leg covers: offer a way to deal with cold or wet conditions on routine journeys. A leg cover can be particularly useful when the Majesty 400 remains your regular transport through the colder months.
• Screens: let you tailor wind protection to your usual routes. More coverage may be welcome on faster roads, where exposure to the wind becomes more noticeable than it is on a short ride across town.
• Luggage cases: provide extra room for commuting essentials or a trip away. If you often ride two-up, consider what you both need to take and how much additional carrying space would actually be useful.
• Exhausts: appeal to riders who want to alter the scooter’s sound and appearance. Whether that change is worthwhile depends on how you use your Majesty 400, especially if it is mainly a practical daily ride.

Start with the part of your riding routine you most want to improve, whether that means parking securely, coping with the weather or carrying more on the road.
