Accessories for the Yamaha MT-125

The Yamaha MT-125 is a naked bike suited to everyday urban journeys and days out on winding roads. Town riding puts the focus on the controls and protection, while longer stretches outside the city make wind deflection more useful. Which accessories deserve priority depends on how you divide your riding between busy streets and the open road.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha MT-125

• Screens: a screen helps divert some of the airflow away from your upper body, which is more exposed on a naked bike. It is particularly useful when your commute includes open roads or your weekend rides take you further afield.
• Handlebars and levers: frequent use of the controls in stop-start traffic makes hand position and lever reach worth thinking about. These parts offer a way to tailor the MT-125's riding position to the demands of your everyday journeys.
• Protectors, crash bungs and bars: these help limit damage to exposed areas in a stationary drop or low-speed fall. For an MT-125 used around town, regular parking manoeuvres make protection a practical priority before cosmetic changes.
• Number plate holders: the rear of this naked bike is clearly visible, so changes here can make a noticeable difference to its appearance. If you are also replacing the indicators, consider the look of the rear end as a whole.
• Phone mounts: a mount keeps your phone secured for navigation through unfamiliar city streets or along a new weekend route. Position it without obscuring the instruments, and set your destination before you start riding.

The MT-125 has changed over the years, with versions covering 2014, 2015-2019 and 2020-2026. Parts such as levers, screens and exhausts do not fit every version. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit your MT-125.
