Accessories for the Yamaha TDM 900

The Yamaha TDM 900 is a road-focused tourer suited to weekday journeys as well as weekends away. Its mix of everyday use and longer rides makes wind protection, riding position and luggage especially relevant. The most useful additions depend on whether you spend more time riding through town, covering motorway miles or exploring winding roads.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha TDM 900

• Screens: Longer motorway stretches make wind protection a priority on a touring TDM. A screen can help reduce wind exposure, with the useful level of coverage depending on your height and normal riding position rather than screen size alone.
• Handlebars: These let you tailor your arm position for the TDM's combination of commuting and longer journeys. A comfortable reach matters over a full day on the road, while an easy riding position also helps with slow-speed manoeuvres around town.
• Crash bungs and bars: These can help limit damage if the bike tips over at a standstill or low speed. They are particularly relevant when touring with luggage and manoeuvring the TDM in unfamiliar parking areas.
• Luggage: Useful for carrying weekend essentials without relying on a backpack, luggage also earns its place on everyday journeys. When touring two-up on the TDM, keeping belongings away from the passenger's seat area becomes especially worthwhile.
• Mirrors: A clear view behind helps when moving between urban traffic and open roads. On a TDM used for both, being able to see past your arms from your normal riding position is particularly useful when joining traffic or changing lanes.

TDM 900 versions by year

The TDM 900 has changed over the years, so distinguish the 2002 version from the 2003-2014 versions when choosing parts. Items such as mirrors and handlebars do not necessarily fit every year. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit yours.
