Accessories for the Yamaha Ténéré 700 Explore Edition

The Yamaha Ténéré 700 Explore Edition is an adventure bike suited to travelling on both tarmac and unpaved tracks. Preparing it for that mix means balancing protection, comfort on longer road journeys and support when riding standing up. Your usual routes will determine which matters most: motorway miles call for different priorities from a day spent exploring tracks.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha Ténéré 700 Explore Edition

• Protectors and crash bars: Slow manoeuvres with a loaded bike and uneven tracks make protection worth considering. These accessories help shield exposed areas in a fall, particularly when a touring route takes you away from tarmac.
• Screens: Wind protection becomes more important on motorway stretches and full days on the road. A screen helps manage airflow towards your upper body, so your height and seated riding position matter more than appearance alone.
• Footrests: Riding tracks while standing puts the focus on support beneath your boots. Footrests influence how you position yourself on the bike, making them particularly relevant if off-road sections are a regular part of your travels rather than an occasional diversion.
• Handlebars: Hand position needs to work both seated on the road and standing on tracks. For this kind of mixed riding, consider both postures rather than judging the riding position solely by how it feels on a short town journey.
• Mobile phone mounts: Keeping navigation directions in view is useful when linking unfamiliar back roads or finding your way through towns on a trip. Position the mount so it does not obscure the instruments or restrict handlebar movement.

Choosing parts for the 2023-2024 and 2025-2026 versions

The Yamaha Ténéré 700 Explore Edition has changed over the years, so parts for the 2023-2024 versions do not all fit the 2025-2026 bikes. Handlebars, indicators and screens are examples where the year matters. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit your version.
