Accessories for the Yamaha Tracer 700 GT

The Yamaha Tracer 700 GT takes a sport-touring approach to everyday riding, weekend trips and longer journeys. A weekday commute can put different demands on it from a full day on winding roads, so useful additions go beyond styling. Wind protection matters on motorway stretches, while the controls and footrests deserve attention when you spend several hours in the saddle.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha Tracer 700 GT

• Screens: help deflect airflow during motorway miles and longer road rides. For a Tracer used for touring, the coverage a screen provides needs to work with your usual riding position and your view of the road ahead.
• Protectors, crash bungs and crash bars: aim to reduce damage to the areas they cover. They are worth considering for daily town use, parking manoeuvres and the unfamiliar stopping places that come with travelling by motorcycle.
• Levers: their shape and reach affect how you operate the brake and clutch. That becomes particularly relevant when your riding mixes frequent stop-start traffic with longer weekend outings, rather than just short journeys.
• Footpegs: provide the contact point for your boots, whether you are enjoying bends or settling into a longer stretch of road. Their shape and surface influence how your feet sit during those different parts of a trip.
• Phone mounts: let you position a phone for navigation on trips away from familiar routes. On a touring setup, place the mount where it leaves the instruments visible and does not obstruct handlebar movement.

Choosing parts for the 2019 and 2020 versions

The Yamaha Tracer 700 GT has changed over the years, so the 2019 and 2020 versions do not share every accessory. Protectors, screens and handlebar components are examples of parts that differ. Choose your bike’s year on this page to see only the accessories that fit your version.
