Accessories for the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT

The Yamaha Tracer 900 GT suits riders who want to cover distance without giving up enjoyable days on winding roads. As a sports tourer, it also lends itself to commuting and weekends away, solo or with a pillion. That mix makes wind protection, practical luggage and comfortable contact points more relevant than purely cosmetic changes.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT

• Screens: wind protection becomes a priority when a ride includes motorway stretches or several hours on open roads. Screen height and shape influence airflow around your upper body and helmet, so the aim on the Tracer is useful shelter without compromising your view ahead.
• Luggage: cases make room for clothing and overnight essentials without carrying everything in a rucksack. For two-up trips on the Tracer, planning how to divide the load is particularly useful, while leaving your pillion enough room to sit comfortably.
• Crash bobbins and bars: these can help limit damage in a low-speed fall. They make sense on a Tracer used for commuting or loaded touring, where parking manoeuvres and stops in unfamiliar places are a regular part of the ride.
• Levers: switching between stop-start traffic and flowing country roads puts the clutch and brake controls into frequent use. Lever shape and reach matter here because they influence how naturally your hands operate the controls throughout a full day's riding.
• Footrests: long-distance riding calls for comfortable foot support, while winding roads reward a secure foothold. The contact surface and shape are worth considering on a Tracer that has to serve both relaxed touring and more involved riding on weekend outings.

Consider screen and contact-point changes together, as your riding position affects where the airflow meets you. If you regularly carry a pillion, plan the luggage layout around their seating space as well as your packing needs.
