Accessories for the Yamaha TRX850

The Yamaha TRX850 is a sporty road bike suited to enjoying a series of bends as well as spending longer days on the road. That makes the way you ride an important starting point when choosing accessories. You might want some extra protection for a bike you use regularly, a way to deal with spray on damp roads, or space for the things you need on a weekend away. Those are different priorities: a short ride after work does not call for the same setup as a trip that keeps you on the road for a couple of days.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha TRX850

• Protectors: worth considering if your TRX850 sees regular road use and you want to reduce the risk of damage from a minor knock or a stationary drop. They address a practical concern without shifting the focus away from the bike's sporty character and the rides you enjoy taking on it.
• Mudguards: useful when a favourite winding road is still damp, or when rain catches you on the way home. They help contain the water and dirt thrown up by the wheels, so an unsettled forecast need not be the only thing shaping how you prepare for a ride.
• Luggage: makes it easier to carry a change of clothes and personal items when a day ride becomes an overnight trip. For a road-focused bike such as the TRX850, carrying those essentials on the bike rather than on your back can make a longer journey more comfortable.

Start with the riding you actually do: protection and wet-road practicality answer different needs from packing for a weekend. That distinction helps you decide what is worth fitting to your TRX850.
