Accessories for YAMAHA WR125X

Accessories for the Yamaha WR125X

The Yamaha WR125X is a 125 supermoto suited to getting around town and taking on winding roads. Those rides involve regular stops, quick changes of direction and plenty of time at the controls. It makes sense, then, to focus on parts that affect braking, your riding position and how the bike feels in everyday use. This page brings together accessories for WR125X bikes from 2009 to 2016.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha WR125X

The available accessory types cover several parts of the bike you notice on a commute as well as on a ride out:

• Brakes: town traffic calls for repeated stops, while a winding road makes a predictable braking feel particularly welcome before each bend. Braking is among the brands represented in the brake accessories for the WR125X.
• Exhausts: changing the exhaust is one way to give the WR125X a different sound. If the bike spends much of its time on local journeys, think about how that sound will feel not only on a short ride but throughout your usual route.
• Transmission: pulling away, slowing down and changing gear are constant features of riding through town. Keeping the transmission in good order helps the bike respond consistently, whether your journey is a short commute or continues onto smaller roads.
• Handlebars: on a supermoto, hand position is part of the connection you feel when steering through traffic or moving from one bend to the next. A different handlebar can change that position and the way the WR125X feels when you manoeuvre it.

For this bike, the most useful place to start is your usual route. Frequent urban stops put braking in the foreground; longer rides on twisty roads may make your position at the bars more noticeable.
