Accessories for the Yamaha X-MAX 250

Daily commuting gives the Yamaha X-MAX 250 a clear set of accessory priorities. This scooter suits town journeys and trips between urban areas, where slow-moving traffic can give way to faster, more exposed roads. Wind protection, shelter for your legs and security when parked are worth considering when setting it up for your regular routine.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha X-MAX 250

• Windscreens: help reduce wind pressure on your upper body when your commute takes you onto faster roads. For an X-MAX 250 used beyond the town centre, this can matter more than it does on short, low-speed journeys.
• Locks: are a practical priority if your scooter spends the working day parked on the street. A lock that is straightforward to put on and remove also suits a routine involving several stops for errands.
• Outdoor covers and leg covers: serve different parts of scooter life. An outdoor cover shelters the parked bike, while a leg cover helps shield your legs during the ride, particularly on chilly early-morning commutes.
• Mirrors: deserve attention on a scooter regularly ridden through busy junctions and changing traffic. Their position should give you a useful view behind without making you shift awkwardly from your normal riding posture.
• Phone mounts: keep navigation directions in view when your journey takes you to an unfamiliar address. They make particular sense when the X-MAX 250 handles both your usual commute and trips across different neighbourhoods; set the route before moving off.

Choosing accessories for your X-MAX 250's year

The Yamaha X-MAX 250 has changed over the years, so the 2010-2013 and 2014-2016 versions do not share every accessory. Windscreens, locks and leg covers are examples of parts that may fit one version but not the other. Choose your scooter's year on this page to display only the accessories that fit your bike.
