Accessories for the Yamaha XJR 1300 SP

The Yamaha XJR 1300 SP is a classic-looking naked bike suited to everyday journeys as well as leisurely road rides and weekends on winding routes. Accessories work best when they reflect that balance: some wind protection for longer distances, protection for urban use, or changes to the riding position that leave the bike’s character intact.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha XJR 1300 SP

• Screens: worth considering when your weekend routes involve motorway miles or longer stretches of open road. On a naked bike such as the XJR, a screen helps redirect airflow away from your upper body, while its size and shape influence the look of the front end.
• Protectors: a practical addition for an XJR that shares its time between town and country roads. They help limit damage to the areas they cover in a fall, particularly relevant to the low-speed manoeuvres and parking involved in everyday urban riding.
• Handlebars: changing the bars lets you rethink your arm and upper-body position. For an XJR used both in traffic and for weekend outings, the useful balance is between easy low-speed control and a riding position you can sustain on longer road journeys.
• Mirrors: these have a noticeable effect on a classic naked bike’s outline, but their everyday role matters just as much. If your XJR regularly tackles town traffic, a useful rearward view deserves priority over making the mirrors as visually discreet as possible.
• Levers: focus attention on your contact with the brake and clutch. For stop-start commuting on the XJR, where both controls get frequent use, lever shape and reach have more practical relevance than a purely cosmetic change at the handlebars.

Fasteners and caps offer a way to tidy up the visible details of this naked bike. Planning their finish alongside the handlebars and mirrors helps keep the XJR’s classic appearance consistent.
