Accessories for YAMAHA XSR 125

Yamaha XSR125 accessories for everyday retro riding

The Yamaha XSR125 is a retro-styled naked suited to city journeys and outings on country roads. Those two uses call for slightly different priorities: comfortable controls and protection matter around town, while wind exposure becomes more noticeable on longer rides. Accessories let you address those practical needs while keeping the bike’s retro character in mind, rather than changing its appearance for the sake of it.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha XSR125

• Screens: worth considering when your commute extends beyond town or your weekends involve country roads. A screen helps divert some airflow away from your torso. On a retro naked such as the XSR125, its size also affects the overall look of the bike.
• Handlebars and levers: help tailor the riding position and the relationship between your hands and the controls. Frequent clutch and brake use in urban traffic makes a comfortable reach particularly valuable, so the everyday benefit goes beyond giving the cockpit a different look.
• Protectors and crash protection: a practical addition for an XSR125 used daily, especially when parking involves tight spaces and repeated low-speed manoeuvres. These accessories can help limit damage in a low-speed fall, making them relevant to town use rather than just longer outings.
• Mirrors: make a noticeable contribution to this Yamaha’s retro silhouette. For city riding, balance that visual change with a useful rearward view from your normal riding position, particularly on routes where you regularly need to change lanes or turn at busy junctions.
• Phone mounts: useful for navigation when your city journeys take you somewhere unfamiliar, or when you explore a new weekend route. They keep directions in view without needing to retrieve your phone; set the route before leaving and stop safely before making changes.

For mixed city and country-road use, start with the controls and everyday protection. A screen becomes a more useful addition as riding outside town takes up more of your week.
