Accessories for YAMAHA XSR700

Yamaha XSR700 accessories for everyday riding

The Yamaha XSR700 combines retro styling with the everyday versatility of a naked bike. It suits commuting and weekend rides on winding roads, so useful additions need to work beyond appearances alone. Wind protection, well-placed controls and protection for exposed parts can all make sense, depending on how much of your riding takes place in town or on the open road.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha XSR700

• Screens: a useful addition when your commute includes faster roads or your weekend route involves motorway stretches. On the unfaired XSR700, a screen helps redirect some of the airflow while giving you a choice over how much the bike’s retro profile changes.
• Protectors and crash protection: help shield exposed areas in a stationary drop or low-speed fall. They are worth considering for an everyday XSR700 that regularly needs wheeling into tight parking spaces or manoeuvring through confined areas.
• Handlebars and hand levers: let you tailor key contact points to your riding position. For a mix of stop-start traffic and country roads, wrist position and a comfortable reach to the controls deserve as much attention as the look of the bars.
• Mirrors and number plate holders: offer ways to refine the XSR700’s outline around its retro character. Mirrors also have a practical role on the commute: changes to their shape or position should still leave you with a useful rearward view.
• Footrests: affect foot support and leg position. They are relevant when adapting the XSR700 for winding-road rides, particularly if you also want a riding position that remains comfortable on the journey to work.

Choosing parts for the 2016-2020 and 2021-2026 XSR700

The XSR700 has changed over the years, and the 2016-2020 and 2021-2026 versions do not take all the same accessories. Parts such as indicators, foot control levers and handlebars are not interchangeable across every year. Choose your bike’s year on this page to see only the accessories that fit yours.
