Accessories for the Yamaha XSR700 XTribute

The Yamaha XSR700 XTribute is a retro-styled naked that suits weekday journeys through town as well as weekend rides on winding roads. Those two uses lead to different accessory priorities: comfortable controls for repeated stops, protection for everyday mishaps and some relief from the wind on longer outings. Keeping its classic look in balance with practical additions is part of setting it up.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha XSR700 XTribute

• Handlebars and levers: worth considering together if town riding makes up much of your week. Your reach to the bars and the way your fingers meet the levers matter when you are repeatedly braking and using the clutch. Think about your riding position before choosing a particular look.
• Screens: useful when a short ride becomes an afternoon on open roads. A screen helps divert some airflow away from your upper body, rather than leaving you fully exposed on a naked. Its size and shape also affect how neatly it fits the XTribute’s retro appearance.
• Protectors and crash bars: a practical addition for an everyday XTribute that sees frequent parking and low-speed manoeuvres. These accessories help limit damage in a stationary or low-speed fall. Different forms of protection have a different visual presence, which matters when you want to preserve the bike’s uncluttered styling.
• Footrests: your feet need a comfortable support point both on winding roads and during longer stretches in the saddle. Consider footrests alongside the handlebars rather than as an isolated styling change: the relationship between your legs, upper body and controls shapes how comfortable the riding position feels.
• Mirrors and number plate holders: these can change the outline around the bars and tidy the rear of a retro naked. If your XTribute spends plenty of time in urban traffic, keep rearward visibility central to your mirror choice rather than focusing solely on a compact appearance.
