Accessories for YAMAHA XSR900

Yamaha XSR900 accessories for everyday rides and winding roads

The Yamaha XSR900 brings retro styling to a naked bike suited to weekday journeys and weekend rides on winding roads. Choosing accessories is about balancing practical comfort with that distinctive appearance. If your riding includes town traffic, faster connecting roads and longer days out, wind protection and the position of the controls deserve as much thought as the finishing touches.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha XSR900

• Screens: a screen can help deflect airflow away from your upper body on motorway stretches between favourite riding roads. On the XSR900, the aim is to balance useful coverage with a shape that sits comfortably alongside its retro styling.
• Crash bungs and bars: these can help reduce damage if the bike tips over while parking or manoeuvring. For an XSR900 used around town every day, they serve a practical purpose beyond changing its appearance.
• Handlebars: bar shape and height influence hand position and how far you lean forwards. When your XSR900 handles both urban journeys and winding country roads, your usual riding posture is a useful starting point for choosing a different bar.
• Levers: frequent clutch use in stop-start traffic makes lever shape and reach worth considering. Comfortable contact with the controls also matters when a short ride on your XSR900 turns into an afternoon on twisting roads.
• Tail tidies: the number plate and its holder are noticeable details on a naked bike with an exposed rear profile. A different holder lets you refine the XSR900’s rear-end appearance, rather than concentrating every styling change around the handlebars and headlight.

Choosing parts for your XSR900’s year

The XSR900 has changed over the years, with distinct 2016–2021 and 2022–2026 versions. Parts such as screens and indicators do not necessarily fit both versions. Choose your bike’s year on this page so that only accessories that fit your XSR900 are shown.
