Accessories for the Zero SR-F

The Zero SR-F is an electric naked bike suited to everyday journeys as well as rides out on the road. Those two kinds of riding put different demands on the accessories you fit. Tight parking spaces and low-speed manoeuvres are part of a daily commute, while a ride on damp roads can leave the bike covered in spray. Thinking about where you use your SR-F most often is a useful starting point when deciding which parts deserve your attention.

What riders usually fit to the Zero SR-F

Protectors and mudguards address different aspects of riding this bike. Neither is about changing its character: they are practical additions for the situations you encounter on a commute or a weekend ride. Puig is among the accessory brands available for the SR-F.

• Protectors: worth considering if your SR-F spends time being wheeled into parking spaces, manoeuvred through a crowded street or parked where space is limited. Protection parts can help limit the effects of a minor knock or scrape. They also make sense for a naked bike used regularly on the road, where exposed areas may be a concern for its rider.
• Mudguards: particularly relevant if you ride through the year rather than waiting for dry weather. On wet streets and roads, the wheels throw up water and grime; a mudguard helps reduce that spray. This is useful on a daily journey that cannot be postponed because it has rained, and on a longer ride when road conditions change along the way.

If parking and low-speed handling are a regular part of your journey, start by looking at protectors. If wet-road riding is more familiar, mudguards may be the more useful first addition.
