The black Puig Z-Racing screen for the 2017-2019 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade combines a sporty look with improved aerodynamic comfort. It is designed to reduce the airflow reaching the rider compared with the original screen.
Its double-bubble shape redirects air away from the helmet and upper torso, while two side channels guide it outwards to help ease pressure on the shoulders. Puig analysed the design using a virtual wind tunnel and reports an average aerodynamic improvement of 12.7% when riding upright and up to 61% in a racing tuck, compared with the original screen.
