The Puig Z-Racing screen for the BMW M1000RR and S1000RR (2019-2026) replaces the original fairing screen, adding a sportier look in a carbon-look finish. It is designed to improve aerodynamic protection and reduce air pressure on the rider.
Its double-height profile diverts airflow away from the helmet and upper torso. Two side channels direct air outwards to ease pressure on the shoulders; Puig has analysed the design using a virtual wind tunnel.
- Aerodynamic improvement: an average of 12.7% when upright and up to 61% in a racing riding position, compared with the original screen.
- Material: 3 mm high-impact acrylic.
- ABE approval: KBA 38182 VS3 for road use.
- TÜV certification: a rounded edge of more than 2 mm meets its safety requirements.
- UV resistance: helps maintain the screen's durability.
