Puig resistors for LED indicators help correct the flash rate when you fit LED indicators to your motorcycle. They are intended for situations where a change in electrical consumption alters the indicator timing.
If you replace a conventional indicator bulb, keep to the same wattage. If you switch to LEDs, check the flash rate first: not every motorcycle will need a change to its indicator circuit.
- Bimetallic relay: its flash rate depends on the current flowing through the circuit, so changing the indicators may affect it.
- Electronic relay: its flash rate does not depend on current, so the change should not normally affect the timing.
- Installation: the resistor solution requires a parallel connection on each side, left and right.
- Configuration: the manufacturer specifies different resistors depending on whether two or four indicators are replaced.
- Material and finish: gold-coloured aluminium.
- Weight: 70 g.
Replacing the relay is another option if your motorcycle allows it; first identify its location and number of pins. Some motorcycles have no dedicated indicator relay, and changing just one may not solve the issue if several are involved.
