Rizoma License plate holders

Rizoma number plate holders are Italian-designed tail tidies: they replace the long stock bracket with a compact part that lifts the plate and clears the rear end, and each one is made for a specific model and range of years. There are more than a hundred part numbers, mostly for nakeds and sports bikes from Yamaha, Kawasaki, Honda, Ducati, BMW, Aprilia and Triumph, plus one universal model and three for Vespa.

The tail is a package

A Rizoma plate holder is rarely fitted on its own, because once you shorten the bracket you have to decide what happens to the light and the indicators. You have two routes: run Rizoma indicators, whose three-function versions install on a Rizoma holder with its wiring, or keep the stock ones using a dedicated bracket for the Fox. If your bike runs bulbs and you switch to LED, the adapter cables with resistor stop the flash rate from speeding up.

How to find yours

The part number changes with the generation, because the tail changes. The MT-09 has different holders for 2014-2020, 2021, 2022-2023 and 2024-2026, and the Kawasaki Z 900 has one for 2017-2024 and another for 2025-2026. When two bikes share a tail they share the part: that is the case with the Hypermotard 698 and Monster 937, the Ninja 650 and Z 650, or the MT-09 and the 2025 YZF R9. If your bike has no model of its own, there is the universal Multifit.

The brand's styles (Fox, Outside Street, Side Arm and Americana) and what gets checked at the MOT are in our guide to motorcycle number plate holders. To pair it with other parts from the same maker, the Rizoma catalogue brings them all together.
