Rizoma Mirrors

Rizoma mirrors are machined aluminium side mirrors that replace the stock ones and completely change the look of the handlebars or fairing. There are more than a dozen designs, in black, silver and grey, and almost all of them work as a two-part system: the mirror, which you choose for its style, and the adapter, which is the part that depends on your bike. Understanding that split saves you from ordering a mirror and finding out later that it does not fit.

Four ways to mount a mirror

The adapter you need is set by the mounting system, not by the design of the mirror. Rizoma uses four.

Direct Mount: onto your bike's thread

The mirror screws in where the original was. These adapters are not model-specific but thread-specific: the name gives the two threads they join (M10x1.25, M10 or M8), and those ending in SX are for a left-hand thread, which some bikes use on one side. Before ordering, confirm the thread and the side.

End Mount: at the tip of the handlebar

The mirror takes the place of the bar end and the adapter sits inside the tube. There is one universal adapter for bars with a 13 to 20 mm inside diameter and others made for BMW, Ducati, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Aprilia, Triumph, Harley-Davidson or Vespa, gathered under End Mount and PROGUARD adapters. It is the option that clears the handlebar most, but it changes where the mirror sits and means removing the stock bar end.

Stealth: one part number per bike

Stealth and Stealth Max make up more than half of the range, and for each one the list of compatible bikes is on its product page. For nakeds there are the Stealth Naked adapters, one per model or group of models.

Side Mount and fairing mirrors

The Side Mount is a side-fitting adapter that exists only for the Yamaha TMAX up to 2021. And if you take the fairing mirrors off a sports bike or maxi-scooter to move them to the handlebar, the fairing mirror hole covers close the gap that is left.

The designs at a glance

• Stealth and Stealth Max: the biggest part of the range, in black, silver and grey.
• Genesi, Namic Sport, Namic Street and Cut-Edge: pairs with different left and right mirrors; in the name, two part numbers joined by a plus sign.
• Radial RS, Reverse Radial, Spirit, One, Veloce, Veloce L and Lunar: two identical mirrors per set; the name ends in x2.
• Spy-R, in two diameters (57 and 80 mm), and Blind Spot, a small mirror meant for the blind spot.

Before you order

• Bike and year: adapter compatibility is checked against the list on the product page, because one generation can change thread or handlebar.
• Road approval: a minimalist design does not always leave the mirror surface the regulations require, so read what each model says. In motorcycle mirrors we explain how to recognise the E-mark.
• Look of the set: the black, silver and grey finishes match grips, levers and bar ends from the same brand.

And if you want to renew the whole front end, the Rizoma page brings together levers, grips and reservoirs.
