Rizoma Oil Filler Caps

Rizoma oil filler caps replace the cap on the opening where oil goes into the engine with a machined aluminium one, racing-inspired and in several colours. Besides the make of your bike, what really decides which one fits is the thread on the engine: there are two sizes.

Two threads, six part numbers

• M20x2.5: for several Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha models, in silver, black and red.
• M24x2: for several BMW models, in silver, black and blue.

The first number is the diameter of the thread in millimetres and the second is the pitch, the distance from one thread crest to the next. The product page for each part number lists the bikes it suits; if yours is not there, do not fit it even if the thread looks the same.

Before you fit it

With the engine cold and the bike upright, unscrew the standard cap and compare it with the new one: the diameter and the type of thread must match. Tighten it firmly until the seal sits, without forcing the aluminium. An oil cap that is not properly closed can leak or work loose, and oil on the rear tyre is dangerous, so after your first ride check there are no stains around it and look at the level.

If what you want is the petrol cap, it is in the Rizoma fuel caps, and the rest of the brand's aluminium parts are under Rizoma.
