Scooter and motorcycle leg covers

A scooter leg cover, also called an apron or a thermal leg cover, is the accessory that does most for anyone who rides a scooter every day in winter: it covers your thighs, knees and feet, stops the cold air coming up under the leg shield and gets you there with dry trousers. All the covers in this section are made by Tucano Urbano, most of them from its Termoscud range, and there are models for scooters, maxi-scooters, three-wheelers, electric scooters and a few geared motorcycles.

Which cover your vehicle needs

• Urban scooter (SH, PCX, N-MAX, Vespa, Agility, People, Medley…): a cover made for the model and its years. The leg shield changes with every generation, so the year matters as much as the name.
• Maxi-scooter and crossover (TMAX, XMAX, Forza, Burgman, X-ADV, AK 550): model-specific too, and in the PRO or S-PRO versions with a rigid spoiler that holds its shape at dual carriageway speeds.
• Three-wheelers and electric scooters: the MP3, Tricity, Quadro models, Seat MÓ and Silence or the BMW CE 04 each have their own.
• Geared motorcycle: the Gaucho family, universal for low (R118) or tall (R119) bikes and tailored to the R 1200 and R 1250 GS. Check that your foot still reaches the gear lever and rear brake pedal easily.
• No dedicated model: the universal Easy E19 and E29, and the R194, which you wear and which does not attach to the vehicle. They work well in town and at low speeds.

How it goes on and comes off

A model-specific cover hooks onto points designed for that leg shield and floorboard, so it does not shift in the wind or catch the controls. Most riders fit it when the cold arrives and leave it on until spring. On the latest generation, the one with an S in the code, a rigid piece stays fixed to the leg shield and the cover clips onto it, so you can roll it up or unclip it on a mild day without tools. Universal covers adapt to many different leg shields: they go on faster but fit less snugly.

Cold, rain and what stays exposed

On a scooter, the cold gets in mainly through your knees and thighs, which face straight into the wind, and that is where you feel the cover from day one. In the rain, water runs off the outer fabric without soaking through, which is very handy on short daily trips when it is not worth getting into waterproofs. What it does not protect is your upper body or your hands: for your chest, a tall screen from our windscreens; for your hands, winter motorcycle gloves.

Before you choose

Does it cover the passenger too?

No. It protects the rider; whoever sits behind needs their own warm and waterproof gear.

My scooter is a 2025 or 2026 model: is there a cover?

Yes, for several of the new models: the 2025 PCX 125, N-MAX 125, SH 350i, TMAX 560, X-ADV 750, MP3 310 and Forza 750, and the 2026 SH 125i and 150i. With the "Filter by your bike" bar above the list, entering make, model and year, you can narrow it down to the ones that fit yours.
