SW-MOTECH Handlebar Risers

SW-MOTECH handlebar risers are raisers and pull-back pieces that sit between the handlebar and its mounting to change where your hands fall and leave you more upright, with less load on your wrists and back. In this section they are universal: they do not depend on the bike but on the diameter of your handlebar.

How to read the part numbers

• Diameter: 22, 28 or 32 mm, that of the handlebar where the riser sits. The 22 mm is the usual tubular bar on road bikes; the 28 mm is the thick bar fitted to many adventure bikes and customs.
• Size: 20, 25, 28, 30, 32 or 50 mm, which is how far the bar position changes once fitted.
• Adjustable: the 50 mm version, available for 22 and 28 mm, lets you tune the position instead of fixing it once and for all.
• Finish: black or silver.

Who they make sense for

For the tall rider whose standard bar is too far away, for anyone who stands on the pegs on tracks and needs their hands higher, and for riders who feel their wrists or lower back after hours of touring. They fine-tune a bike that already fits you, but they will not rescue a bike of the wrong size. If you are unsure between sizes, message us on the chat with your bike and your height.

After fitting them

Moving the bar changes the route of the cables and hoses. Turn the steering from lock to lock and check that none of them is pulled tight, and that the brake and clutch levers keep a comfortable position; motorcycle levers shows how they are adjusted. If you run handguards, check they still clear in the new position; you will find them in motorcycle handguards. Other ergonomics parts from the brand are in SW-MOTECH.
